About the Role
Jacobs is at the forefront of solving vital global challenges in engineering, construction, and related fields. We are seeking a motivated Document Control Professional to join our project team, managing document management activities that include tracking, controlling, and updating crucial documents such as design drawings, RFIs, and submittals. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams, clients, and consultants to ensure seamless document flow throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, manage, and maintain document control systems encompassing historical, incoming, and outgoing project documents.
- Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contract requirements and production standards.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert on document control systems utilized.
- Train project participants on practical system usage and oversee general administrative duties including data entry and process documentation maintenance.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in Document Control specifically with nuclear, engineering, architectural, and construction documentation such as drawings, technical specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
- Ability to work on-site in the office two to three days per week.
- Experience with document management platforms including Aconex, SharePoint, standard industry EDMS, and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel within the United States approximately 25% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and familiarity with technical terminology are advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary offers a range from $80,000 to $100,000, calibrated by job location, skills, experience, and education.
