Job description
Job Overview and Responsibilities
This role requires fundamental expertise in installing and maintaining CCTV systems, including both IP and Analog cameras. The technician will handle tasks such as configuring NVRs and DVRs, as well as practical networking components related to CCTV operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation and maintenance of CCTV equipment with a solid grasp of IP and Analog camera systems.
- Configure Network Video Recorders (NVR) and Digital Video Recorders (DVR) for optimal performance.
- Carry out Cat6 cable crimping, termination, and prepare RJ45 connectors with proper LAN cable testing.
- Manage PoE switches and understand fundamental networking principles pertinent to CCTV set-up.
- Understand and apply basic networking concepts such as IP addressing, gateways, and DHCP configurations.
- Execute proper installation, alignment, focusing, and placement of CCTV cameras.
- Add and configure cameras within NVR systems effectively.
- Set up remote viewing capabilities on mobile devices for CCTV monitoring.
- Install hard disk drives (HDDs) and manage basic recording settings to ensure footage recording quality.
Additional Information
The position requires hands-on technical knowledge and the ability to work onsite in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
