Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough operational analyses and gather detailed requirements.
- Develop Operational Concept Descriptions (OCD) and User Operational Contexts (UOC).
- Partner closely with system engineering teams to translate operational needs into precise system requirements.
- Assist product owners and system engineers by reviewing design outputs to ensure they meet operational criteria.
- Provide actionable feedback during Sprint reviews and Product Increment demonstrations to identify functional gaps prior to deployment.
- Engage actively in customer and internal design assessments and collaborative workshops, imparting operational expertise.
- Create and manage operational datasets for platform adaptation.
- Work alongside software integration teams to automate the generation and validation of datasets.
- Support product demonstration activities.
- Design validation test cases to verify solution effectiveness.
- Participate in formal project milestones such as Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) with international clients.
- Contribute to Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) by evaluating operational impacts of reported issues regarding severity and priority.
- Provide training and mentorship to engineering teams to improve their understanding of operational contexts.
- Assist with system commissioning and facilitate smooth transitions during deployment phases.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold instructor-level or air traffic control certifications.
- Demonstrate operational experience in Tower (TWR), Approach (APP), or Area Control Center (ACC) settings; experience with Civil Aviation Authority Singapore (CAAS) is highly advantageous.
- Possess strong understanding of international civil aviation standards, including ICAO protocols, Eurocontrol regulations, and FAA rules.
- Experience in preparing adaptation datasets for operational platforms.
- Exhibit a positive, explorative mindset with problem-solving aptitude and motivational capabilities.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
- Preferred: simulator instructor experience and over five years in comparable roles managing complex, software-driven real-time systems.
- Familiarity with engineering lifecycle tools such as DOORS and JIRA.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like shell, bash, python, or macros.
