About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in running the Stationstore located at 200 Oak St, Eastman, Georgia. This role offers a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with opportunities for career growth in management.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day store operations ensuring high service standards.
- Assist with hiring, supervising, and motivating store staff to meet daily objectives.
- Support bookkeeping and merchandising efforts.
- Maintain store safety and security protocols.
- Provide fast, friendly service and set a positive example for customer engagement.
- Ensure consistent and reliable onsite attendance.
- Promote and execute the store's high-quality food program standards.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous retail or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members.
- Cash handling and bookkeeping proficiency.
- High School diploma or College degree is desirable.
- Ability to lead, delegate tasks, and follow through to completion.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds for up to 30 minutes per shift, occasionally lifting 60 pounds from ground to waist.
- Capability to push/pull with up to 20 pounds of force.
- Ability to bend and twist for up to one hour per shift.
- Manual dexterity for grasping, reaching, and manipulating objects; may require ladder climbing for retrieving items or signage.
