Role Overview

The Applications Development Project Manager will lead the end-to-end management of complex software and application projects. This role involves planning and executing projects within Agile frameworks, coordinating technical teams—including developers and DevOps engineers—and engaging with stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery. Responsibilities include risk management, especially concerning security within a DevSecOps context, monitoring project progress, managing financials, and enhancing project governance practices. The position contributes significantly to digital transformation initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of applications development projects from start to finish, ensuring successful delivery of software products.
• Create and sustain detailed project plans under Agile methodologies, defining objectives, sprint schedules, milestones, and timelines.
• Manage project scope and allocate technical resources by coordinating between development and operations teams.
• Identify and manage risks proactively, focusing on security vulnerabilities and responding effectively to scope modifications.
• Act as the main communication link between technical teams and stakeholders, providing consistent updates on project status and quality assurance.
• Monitor and adjust project progress to meet delivery goals and key performance indicators.
• Handle project budgeting and invoice tracking to maintain financial discipline within projects.
• Adhere to established project management office standards and governance protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years’ practical experience managing software applications development or IT projects, demonstrating solid technical leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Deep expertise in Project Management with hands-on knowledge of Agile practices, DevOps, and integration of DevSecOps principles.
• Required professional certification such as PMP and preferably PMI-ACP.
• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to present technical ideas effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
