About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and well-organized Transport Allocator to join a busy logistics and transport team based in Minchinbury, New South Wales. In this dynamic position, your main duties will include managing daily transport tasks, assigning drivers and vehicles, and ensuring deliveries are executed safely, promptly, and efficiently.

This role is ideal for a transport expert who excels in high-pressure situations, enjoys solving problems, and is dedicated to providing outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily transport runs covering metropolitan and regional areas.
  • Assign drivers, vehicles, and routes to maximize operational effectiveness and resource use.
  • Track delivery schedules and handle any delays or issues proactively.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) standards, and internal policies.
  • Update and manage transport management systems along with delivery paperwork.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns related to deliveries and collections.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement projects within transport operations.
  • Assist with driver scheduling, fleet usage, and preparing operational reports.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in roles such as Transport Allocator, Transport Coordinator, Fleet Coordinator, or similar positions in logistics.
  • Strong understanding of transport processes, route planning, and scheduling techniques.
  • Familiarity with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) standards and transport-related legislation.
  • Proficient communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Effective problem-solving capacity and decision-making in fast-moving environments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational talents.
  • Experience handling Transport Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team while balancing multiple priorities.
