Job description
Job Summary
We are seeking a Software Security Architect to contribute to the specification, design, and review of security architectures and their implementation across embedded software, operating systems, and firmware. This role involves performing risk and threat assessments for security systems, conducting root cause investigations of security flaws, and devising effective countermeasures. You will also serve as a technical liaison between customers, evaluation labs, and development teams, driving the development of innovative security solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define, design, and critically evaluate software security architectures and implementations related to embedded systems.
- Perform comprehensive risk and threat analyses on security mechanisms and infrastructure.
- Identify root causes of security vulnerabilities and design appropriate counteractions.
- Engage with customers, certification labs, and product teams as a subject matter technical expert.
- Innovate and develop cutting-edge security solutions in alignment with industry needs.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Master's or PhD degree in Security, Software Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Strong experience developing embedded software, proficient in C/C++ programming.
- Demonstrated expertise in embedded security technologies and concepts.
- Familiarity with Smartcard and Secure Element products, embedded secure systems, and security evaluation standards such as CC EAL6+ and EMVCo is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently while remaining open to feedback and adaptable.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to function effectively as a team player.

Successful candidates may be assigned security-related tasks which could fall under security certification processes requiring meticulous and trustworthy work practices.
