Role Overview

The Senior Electrical Testing Engineer position is a full-time, on-site role located in Qatar. The key responsibilities encompass leading and executing comprehensive electrical testing operations, including planning, implementation, and meticulous documentation of tests on electrical systems and equipment aligned with project specifications and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain thorough test plans and cases for electrical testing procedures.
• Conduct detailed functional testing of electrical components, systems, and protection schemes.
• Analyze testing outcomes, troubleshoot detected issues, and propose corrective solutions.
• Coordinate testing activities with project teams, clients, and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant completion.
• Prepare clear and concise technical documentation and reporting related to testing results.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians regarding testing methodologies and best practices.
• Support and contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives pertaining to electrical testing processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive experience in test engineering, including the planning and supervision of electrical testing operations.
• Hands-on expertise in executing tests on electrical systems and equipment.
• Ability to create, review, and sustain detailed test cases and associated documentation.
• Strong grasp of electrical testing methodologies appropriate for industrial settings.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards such as IEC, IEEE, and applicable local regulations.
• Competence in data analysis, fault diagnosis, and proposing technical recommendations.
• Strong communication skills with experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience working in Middle Eastern or comparable industrial environments is advantageous.
• Proven ability to train and support junior staff in testing techniques.
