Role Overview

As a Programme Manager at Datacom, you will spearhead complex initiatives from their beginning to successful conclusion, ensuring that outcomes meet top-tier standards of quality, value, and performance. Depending on project requirements, you may either operate independently or collaborate within a broader delivery team. Your responsibilities include overseeing scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder management to guarantee exceptional outcomes.

This role is pivotal as Datacom expands its capabilities in AI technology delivery across the region. Your expertise in employing AI for technology projects will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of outstanding results for clients.
• Manage project governance and execution, implementing effective operations and ensuring excellence across multifaceted IT environments.
• Lead design, planning, and scheduling for application and infrastructure projects, maintaining alignment with timelines and client expectations.
• Define and secure necessary resources, create and monitor budgets, and oversee financial performance and realization of benefits.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes; develop change management plans and evaluate business impact.
• Build and nurture strong stakeholder relationships, communicate effectively, and manage vendor contracts.
• Oversee business continuity planning including development, reviews, testing, and training; ensure adherence to health and safety policies.
• Guide project teams through all development phases from analysis to implementation within company policies.
• Adapt to diverse roles as required to meet evolving business needs and enhance breadth of experience.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience managing programmes in customer-facing environments with knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and risk considerations preferred.
• Track record of delivering technology and business transformation projects within complex political settings.
• Self-driven with dedication to achieving superior business and customer results across multiple initiatives.
• Experienced in leading large, multi-workstream programmes within consulting or customer environments.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate collaborative teams and align projects with strategic objectives.
• Comprehensive understanding of software development and implementation programmes, including technological interdependencies.
• Experience with AI-related programme management is a plus; flexibility and eagerness to learn emerging technologies are critical.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, capable of adapting messages for various audiences including executives and technical staff.
• Expertise in financial governance involving budgeting, benefits tracking, and comprehension of financial impacts.
• Familiar with multiple project delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid, and able to apply these at programme level.
