Job description
Job Purpose
Assist in the preparation, development, execution, and administration of material agreements to ensure compliance with contracts and corporate governance. Deliver optimal material purchasing opportunities that balance cost efficiency and quality for end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the tendering process for material agreements, ensuring contracts comply with standards while fulfilling end user material availability requirements.
- Support procurement processes such as Invitations to Tender (ITT), evaluations, and contract awards, maintaining corporate controls and minimizing risk exposure.
- Meet annual targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by completing assigned agreements with high quality and within designated timelines to align with departmental and corporate strategies.
- Administer contracts effectively to ensure suppliers deliver materials on time while adhering to contract terms and scope aligned with Qatar Energy LNG interests.
- Coordinate internally with expediting teams and externally with vendors, packers, and freight forwarders to sustain on-time material delivery meeting user demands.
- Provide data-driven insights on historical material demands, spending, and purchasing trends to identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Analyze business processes related to material agreements to identify improvements enhancing service quality for end users and stakeholders.
- Support peer reviews, internal and external audits, and address gaps in controls related to material agreements to ensure compliance and corrective action.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a commercial discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in the oil and gas sector with a focus on purchasing or procurement.
