Manager - Internal Audit Quality Assurance

About the Role

We are assisting one of Saudi Arabia's largest real estate firms in recruiting a Manager for Internal Audit Quality Assurance within their Internal Audit department. The primary responsibility is to oversee the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of internal audit operations, ensuring they meet the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards, internal audit frameworks, governance requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance evaluations of internal audit engagements and related documentation.
• Contribute to the creation and ongoing enhancement of Internal Audit policies, methodologies, manuals, and standard templates.
• Lead the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) plan, driving continuous improvements.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control mechanisms, governance structures, and risk management procedures.
• Assist with the annual internal quality assessment for the Internal Audit function.
• Ensure compliance with audit standards, internal policies, and procedures.
• Support risk-based audit planning and ensure high-quality audit outputs.
• Advance digital, analytics, and reporting initiatives within the Internal Audit team.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, including a minimum of 2 to 3 years in a comparable managerial or quality assurance role.
• In-depth understanding of audit methodologies, internal control practices, and quality assurance frameworks.
• Strong analytical capabilities, excellent stakeholder relationship and communication skills.
• Capacity to work strategically and execute operationally.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation or other audit quality certifications are highly desirable.
