Job description
Role Summary
Lead engineering efforts for photolithography and metrology modules within a semiconductor fabrication facility, focusing on qualification of processes, tool performance monitoring, and driving continuous process improvements.
Key Duties
- Oversee post-equipment preventive maintenance, facilitate tool recoveries, and manage lot dispositions affected by equipment issues.
- Collaborate with shift teams to support process qualifications and evaluate lot dispositions.
- Monitor unresolved process issues and coordinate with external vendors for issue escalation and resolution.
- Ensure and enhance key process performance indicators including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Customer satisfaction, and People management.
- Take ownership of process layers, lead improvement initiatives, and handle change requests utilizing data-driven analyses.
- Provide coaching and training to process module staff to develop skills and knowledge.
- Comply with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Chemical, or a related Engineering discipline.
- At least nine years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with strong hands-on expertise in photolithography and metrology troubleshooting.
- Practical understanding of 24/7 semiconductor fab operations coupled with adherence to cleanroom procedures.
- Proficient in working with photolithography and metrology equipment such as scanners, Critical Dimension Scanning Electron Microscopes (CDSEM), defect scanners, and profilers to optimize processes.
