Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to spearhead the technical advancement of Buildscout, a rapidly expanding lead-generation platform for the construction sector. This role entails full ownership of sophisticated features from conception through deployment, focusing on developing search-heavy SaaS applications while maintaining rapid delivery pace. The successful candidate will blend hands-on coding expertise with architectural leadership within a fast-moving, product-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality full-stack features daily using Next.js, tRPC, and React, ensuring performance and accessibility standards.
• Design and enhance data-intensive systems, including PostgreSQL schema planning and Elasticsearch-powered search capabilities for complex property and planning datasets.
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate technical limitations into strategic roadmaps and lead feature development from initial discovery through deployment.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 7 years in software engineering, with at least 2 to 3 years in leadership roles such as lead, staff, or senior-plus positions focusing on building and scaling SaaS platforms.
• Proficient in React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript with established problem-solving skills for intricate technical challenges.
• Deep experience in PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch, especially related to architecture and system design for data-centric applications.
