Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled EDM Machine Operator to join our precision machining team based in Qatar. This role requires expertise in operating various EDM machines including Sinker EDM, Wire Cut EDM, and EDM Super Drill. The successful candidate will be responsible for machine setup, accurate machining operations, and quality inspection of precision components.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage Sinker EDM and Die Sinking EDM machines efficiently.
- Handle operations of EDM Wire Cut machines with precision.
- Work with EDM Super Drill and hole drilling machines for specialized tasks.
- Configure machine settings and select optimal machining parameters independently.
- Interpret engineering drawings accurately to understand required dimensions and tolerances.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and height gauges for component inspection.
- Conduct inspection of completed parts to ensure compliance with quality and dimensional standards.
- Troubleshoot minor issues related to machining operations and EDM processes.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and adhere strictly to safety procedures.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in EDM and precision machining environments.
- Proficiency with Sinker EDM, Wire Cut EDM, and EDM Super Drill machine operations is highly desirable.
- Background in tool room, die and mould making, or precision engineering is an advantage.
- Ability to independently set up and run EDM machines effectively.
- Strong capability to read and understand engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
- Good knowledge of precision measuring instruments and quality requirements.
- Strong focus on accuracy and quality assurance throughout the machining process.

The position is based onsite in Qatar.
