Role Overview

The Technology team at Revolut is responsible for developing the robust infrastructure and features powering their widely-used app and services. They seek a Python Engineer who can produce high-quality software and automate processes for highly regulated financial systems. This role is part of the AI team, developing core infrastructure that enables scientists and engineers to pioneer innovative solutions for future challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and sustain scalable backend services and tools that facilitate the AI development lifecycle and GPU workloads.
• Profile and enhance performance of machine learning tasks, focusing on latency, throughput, and stability using PyTorch and CUDA-enabled libraries.
• Optimize GPU utilization, managing memory and bandwidth effectively across shared, multi-tenant, and distributed systems.
• Implement optimization techniques such as mixed-precision computing, quantization, efficient batching, gradient accumulation, and memory-efficient attention mechanisms.
• Establish systematic benchmarking procedures, automate regression testing, and advise engineering teams on suitable execution frameworks and GPU configurations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience designing and managing scalable backend systems in production, including Linux, Kubernetes, and containerized environments, predominantly using Python.
• Hands-on expertise in running, profiling, and tuning ML workloads built with PyTorch or similar frameworks on NVIDIA GPUs.
• In-depth understanding of GPU execution processes such as memory hierarchies, CPU/GPU synchronization, data transfer between host and device, and CUDA stream management.
• Knowledge of multi-GPU communication protocols (e.g., NCCL), data/tensor parallelism strategies, and Kubernetes resource scheduling.
• A STEM degree or equivalent experience with a solid foundation in computer science principles, software testing, monitoring, and operational responsibility.
