About the Role
Join Blue Yonder as a Senior Software Engineer to contribute actively to the creation, testing, and upkeep of their cloud-native Supply Chain Data Platform. You will collaborate with senior engineers to build scalable microservices, integrate new features, resolve bugs, and elevate product quality, sharpening your expertise in distributed systems and cloud solutions.
Technical Environment
- Programming Tools: Java, Spring Boot, Gradle, Git, Hibernate, REST APIs, OAuth, GraphQL, Scala, Spark
- Databases: Snowflake, Elasticsearch, NoSQL, RDBMS
- Application Architecture: Cloud-native, event-driven microservices ensuring scalability, resiliency, and multi-tenant security
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure services including AKS, ARM Templates, Azure AD, Event Hub, Application Gateway, Virtual Networks, HDInsight; Kubernetes, Docker; Infrastructure as Code (IaC); Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD)
- Frameworks and Tools: Kafka, Ignite, DevOps practices, Infrastructure Automation
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software features using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and cloud technologies.
- Work closely with product managers, architects, QA, and senior developers to design scalable and reliable solutions.
- Engage in Agile activities such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, code reviews, and retrospectives.
- Diagnose and fix software issues while improving code robustness and performance.
- Participate in engineering on-call rotations supporting backend production stability and reliability.
- Prioritize continuous learning of new tech and best practices to enhance team processes and standards.
Candidate Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of practical experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, SQL, Git, and strong object-oriented programming skills.
- Solid knowledge of cloud-native app development, distributed systems, and container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with messaging systems like Kafka, familiarity with Snowflake, NoSQL and relational databases, alongside modern CI/CD and DevOps workflows.
- Strong analytical problem-solving ability, a keen desire to learn, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative Agile team environment.
