Senior Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric

About the Role

This opportunity involves leading integration architecture and delivering platform solutions to address business challenges within the Microsoft Fabric environment. The role includes ownership of API standards and platform delivery, working closely with stakeholders to maximize value.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Extensive expertise in Microsoft Fabric components including Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Data Science, Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI integration.
• Practical experience building and managing Data Pipelines, Dataflows, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Proficiency in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Azure SQL databases.
• Strong data modeling skills coupled with ETL/ELT design and data integration know-how.
• Understanding and application of real-time data streaming technologies such as Event Hubs, IoT Hub, and Kusto.
• Capability to handle bulk data processing and optimize performance for large datasets.
• Programming skills in SQL and Python for data transformation and workflow orchestration.
• Knowledge of data governance, security protocols, and compliance standards within Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with Power BI for data visualization and analytics insights.
• Competency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git and working effectively in Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong focus on data quality, validation, and robust error handling mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Own the integration architecture to design and implement solutions that satisfy business needs.
• Define and enforce standards for APIs to ensure interoperability and quality.
• Lead platform delivery efforts that drive stakeholder value and business outcomes.
