Research Expert – Computer Vision & Image Processing

Candidate Qualifications and Expertise

• Possess a Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in the relevant field.
• Have published a minimum of five research articles in SCI or SSCI journals over the past three years.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of research methodologies and ethical standards related to the discipline.
• Exhibit strong analytical capabilities and critical reasoning skills.
• Show excellent proficiency in written communication, capable of delivering clear and constructive critiques.
• Maintain ability to meet set deadlines and efficiently manage their time.
• Uphold confidentiality and maintain impartiality in all duties.
• Prior experience as an academic journal peer reviewer is strongly preferred.
• Be familiar with digital manuscript submission and peer review platforms.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess the originality of manuscripts to verify their contribution of new knowledge or insights to the field.
• Critically appraise study designs and methodologies ensuring they are suitable, complete, and described in enough detail to allow reproducibility.
• Verify that manuscripts incorporate comprehensive and current literature pertinent to the subject.
• Analyze the clarity and appropriateness of reported results and conclusions, confirming that they are substantiated by the data and significant to the discipline.
• Offer constructive recommendations aimed at enhancing the manuscript while identifying flaws, omissions, or ethical considerations.
• Provide publication guidance to journal editors based on thorough manuscript evaluation, indicating acceptance, revision, or rejection.
