Programme Delivery Director - Technology

Role Overview

We are seeking a Programme Delivery Director specializing in Technology to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This full-time role requires working both onsite at the office and client locations. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing substantial client programs across the region, ensuring they are delivered successfully with measurable business impact. Accountability includes overall program outcomes, maintaining client partnerships, commercial results, as well as fostering continuous improvements and cultivating a high-performing leadership team.

The position demands a balanced combination of strategic leadership and technical expertise to challenge decisions, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate seamlessly with senior technical and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end program delivery from initiation to completion adhering to organizational standards.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive client relationships at project, program, and governance levels to ensure satisfaction among stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to safeguard delivery quality and meet objectives.
• Create, update, and manage detailed program delivery plans, proposals, and statements of work.
• Supervise multiple work streams ensuring they follow SDLC and IT service management methodologies.
• Take full ownership of delivery results encompassing financial targets, sourcing decisions, implementation quality, and compliance obligations.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams distributed across various locations to maintain consistent management of estimates, roadmaps, and retrospectives.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or comparable professional experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience managing large-scale and complex multi-team programs comprising over 100 full-time employees over multiple years.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise digital transformation initiatives within a consulting framework.
• Demonstrated ability to handle budgets exceeding 10 million USD annually.
• Strong expertise in microservices architectures, cloud-native delivery platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps methodologies.
• Thorough understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), product development life cycle (PDLC), and recognized program management best practices.
• Proficiency in scaled agile frameworks such as SAFe or LeSS, with flexibility to adapt to hybrid delivery models.
• Capability to contribute credibly to architectural and technical discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with applying artificial intelligence solutions to strengthen digital transformation efforts.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills suitable for engagement with VP and C-level clients.
• Fluent verbal and written communication in both Arabic and English.
• Strong commercial insight to manage contract negotiations, scope adjustments, and strategic commercial planning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the oil and gas industry sector.
• Background working with global system integrators and delivery models.
• Exposure to pre-sales, solution design, or involvement in formulating complex commercial agreements.
