About the Role
Our client is a reputable automotive company with a busy bodyshop located in Redruth. They seek an experienced MET / Panel Technician to expand their team. The position entails performing mechanical, electrical, and trim duties as well as vehicle body and panel repairs to restore accident-damaged cars to their original condition. Key Responsibilities
- Execute MET and panel repairs on various accident-damaged vehicles.
- Remove and install mechanical, electrical, and trim parts.
- Repair, replace, and align damaged body panels.
- Perform stripping and refitting activities as necessary.
- Evaluate vehicle damage and select suitable repair approaches.
- Conduct welding and structural repairs when needed.
- Collaborate with other bodyshop technicians during the repair processes.
- Ensure all repairs meet high safety and quality standards.
- Complete repairs following manufacturer and industry guidelines.
- Accurately fill out job cards and repair paperwork.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MET Technician, Panel Technician, Panel Beater, or Bodyshop Technician.
- Competence in both MET and panel repairs.
- Strong understanding of vehicle body repair methods.
- Experience handling accident-damaged vehicles.
- Knowledge of vehicle structural details and repair techniques.
- Attention to detail with a dedication to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant automotive or bodyshop qualifications preferred.
- Possession of a full UK driving license.
