Hire Controller

About the Role

Speedy Hire, the leading provider in the UK for tool and equipment hire, is seeking a Hire Controller at their Bristol depot. This full-time position involves overseeing the hire process from order placement through delivery and collection, ensuring smooth coordination between sales, customer service, stock teams, drivers, and engineers.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 17:00, totaling 42 hours per week. The Hire Controller plays a crucial role in maintaining excellent customer relationships and efficient operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire hire cycle, collaborating closely with multiple depot departments.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to meet customer needs promptly.
• Maintain coordination to minimize delays and maximize equipment availability.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Possesses strong organizational skills to manage workflows effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptable to changing priorities and environments.
• Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
• Holds a valid driving license.
• Previous experience in the hire industry or similar sales/operations roles is preferred.
• Ability to contribute to the business unit in supporting the ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
