Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Delivery Driver to join our busy team in Whangamata, New Zealand. The role involves delivering LPG gas cylinders to residential and commercial locations throughout the region, requiring a strong commitment to safety and excellent customer interaction skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform deliveries Monday through Friday starting around 6:30am and concluding by 5:00pm, with occasional Saturday shifts.
• Deliver LPG cylinders to homes and businesses across the designated service area.
• Engage face-to-face with customers to provide assistance and answer inquiries as needed.
• Handle hazardous materials carefully, maintaining strict adherence to health and safety protocols.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess at least two years of Class 2 driving experience with a clean license and the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
• Previous experience in goods delivery admired; physical fitness and capability to lift heavy items are essential.
• Hold (or be willing to earn) a Dangerous Goods licence and LPG filling experience through training.
• Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a customer-focused mindset.
• Have thorough knowledge of the local region and ability to use handheld delivery computers.
• Exhibit a proactive attitude towards Health and Safety.
• Pass background screenings including criminal, ACC history, medical, and drug & alcohol testing.
• Be a cooperative team player with a positive, can-do approach to meet operational demands.
