About the Role
Join Circle K as an Assistant Store Manager at Store 2704391 located at 34531 US Highway 98, Lillian, Alabama 36549. This position requires availability during weekday and weekend evenings and involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with opportunities for career advancement in management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily Stationstore operations including staff hiring, supervision, task delegation, bookkeeping, and merchandising.
- Maintain high operational standards and ensure prompt, friendly customer service.
- Lead and motivate staff, demonstrating patience, urgency, and strong leadership.
- Ensure consistent onsite attendance and uphold safety and security protocols.
- Execute the store's food program with excellence.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience managing or supervising retail employees.
- Capabilities in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring personnel.
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication abilities.
- Competence in cash handling and bookkeeping.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to empathize and advocate for customers and staff.
- Experience working with food is advantageous.
- High school or college degree preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
- Lift or carry up to 30 pounds overhead for periods within a shift and occasionally up to 60 pounds to waist height.
- Push or pull objects with up to 20 pounds force.
- Bend and twist at the waist for about an hour per shift.
- Perform manual tasks requiring coordination and possibly climbing ladders.
