Impact of Your Role

As a Software Engineer on this team, you will create and maintain systems that empower engineers to release secure software confidently. Your role includes designing, building, and managing cloud-native security services, overseeing components end-to-end, and enhancing system availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.

You will collaborate on system architecture and design, identify and resolve issues related to performance, reliability, and security, and actively participate in code and design reviews. Operational responsibilities include monitoring, alerting, incident response, and contributing to developer tooling and documentation to improve security posture.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of three years' experience developing and managing cloud-native distributed systems in production environments.
• Proficient in production-quality coding in Python, Go, or a similar language.
• Practical experience with AWS or equivalent cloud service providers, including managed services, networking, and IAM concepts.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Ability to independently manage services and features with appropriate collaboration.
• Understanding of scalable, multi-tenant architectures and secure system design principles.
• Prioritization of software reliability, performance, observability, and security alongside feature development.
• Comfortable with on-call duties and rapid response to production incidents.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation for technical problem-solving.
• Usage of modern developer tools, including AI-enhanced tools, to improve productivity and code quality.

Preferred Experiences

• Experience designing or integrating security-centric systems such as secrets management, IAM, authentication/authorization, or policy enforcement frameworks.
• Knowledge of service meshes, API gateways, or zero-trust network architectures.
• Proven skills in enhancing distributed system performance or diagnosing complex, multi-service interactions.

Work Location and Conditions

The position is based in Dublin, Ireland, following a hybrid work model. The company supports work authorization and relocation processes.

The role may require travel up to 10% for onboarding, client engagement, team meetings, or industry events, with travel scheduled in advance.

Compensation and Equal Opportunity

The salary range for this role is €76,000 to €114,000 EUR annually, reflecting local labor market conditions. Total compensation may include bonuses, equity, signing incentives, and a suite of health and welfare benefits based on eligibility.
