Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer to remotely design, develop, and deliver features throughout the application stack. This position involves close collaboration with product and design teams to translate requirements into reliable, thoroughly tested code while maintaining scalable backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deploy production-level code across the entire stack.
- Collaborate with product and design stakeholders to define scope, evaluate technical compromises, and set realistic delivery schedules.
- Produce clean, well-tested software and perform comprehensive code reviews for peers.
- Identify and resolve production issues, including participation in on-call rotations as necessary.
- Take part in architectural decision-making and contribute to long-term technical planning.
- Support and mentor less experienced engineers and enhance engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ experience developing production software at scale.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript.
- Experience with relational databases and crafting modern APIs (REST or GraphQL).
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and continuous integration/deployment processes.
- Strong knowledge of system design, testing strategies, and version control systems like Git.
- Background working within Agile or similar collaborative software development environments.
