Job description

About Aaru

Aaru is a pioneer in predictive intelligence, leveraging artificial intelligence to simulate and forecast human behavior at scale. By creating AI agents that accurately mirror human populations, Aaru enables clients to sharpen strategic positioning, identify key audience segments, test concepts and messaging prior to launch, optimize pricing strategies, and gain an enriched understanding of customers via simulation. This empowers organizations to anticipate future outcomes and make informed decisions swiftly and proactively.

We foster a small, focused, mission-driven team environment where talented individuals are granted ownership, trust, and freedom from bureaucratic constraints, promoting high-velocity and intellectually honest work. We seek motivated individuals who thrive on pushing boundaries, bringing curiosity and conviction, and desire impactful work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the methodological dialogue during the sales process including audience creation, representativeness, response synthesis, calibration, and interpreting confidence in simulated distributions.
  • Convert vague business objectives into precise simulation designs covering audience definition, stimulus creation, and criteria to evaluate results.
  • Design and assess proof-of-concept studies, validating findings against prospects' historical research when available.
  • Fairly and credibly compare simulation approaches to traditional methods such as trackers, surveys, and panels, highlighting areas of advantage and limitations.
  • Empower advocates within client organizations to support simulation-based decisions with robust narratives, validation evidence, and clearly defined boundaries.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, and coordinate with Deployment teams to ensure delivery aligns with agreed standards.
  • Provide structured feedback from field experiences to product and research teams, transforming methodological feedback into platform improvements.
  • Contribute actively to Aaru's public methodological outreach including accuracy frameworks, validation publications, and industry discussions.

Who You Are

  • Possess 7 or more years of experience in consumer insights or market research focusing on quantitative methodologies like research design, sampling, weighting, tracker and survey methods, segmentation, or advanced analytics, within agencies, panel providers, or in-house insights teams.
  • Have a track record of designing and defending research methods to senior, demanding stakeholders and have accepted responsibility for decisions influenced by these studies.
  • Are proficient in statistics, capable of explaining distributions, confidence, biases, and validity clearly, and understand distinctions such as directional accuracy versus predictive validity.
  • Can critically evaluate traditional methods on which your career is built without defensiveness, understanding challenges like declining response rates and panel conditioning.
  • Are enthusiastic, not threatened, by AI integration in research, eager to define simulation assessment criteria rather than just defend old methods.
  • Comfortable representing the company in high-level client meetings including discussions with CMOs and C-suite executives, maintaining credibility against expert methodologists.
  • Have a background in traditional market research and consumer insights with strong skills in translating research findings into actionable business strategies.
  • Are willing to work entirely onsite in Singapore, with expectations of five days a week in the office and either already located in or ready to relocate to Singapore.

What You Don’t Need

  • A computer science degree or engineering background is not required; your role focuses on judgement rather than technical deployment.
  • Previous sales or solutions engineering experience is unnecessary, as the sales process knowledge will be provided; what must come is deep research expertise.

Location

This position is based in Singapore where work is conducted fully in-person on weekdays. Applicants must reside in Singapore or be open to relocating.

Benefits

Aaru offers competitive base salary and equity, along with comprehensive health benefits including medical, vision, and dental plans. Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are provided, along with additional benefits and perks to support our team members.
