Role Overview
As a Senior Research Engineer, you will develop AI systems capable of executing complex tasks with exceptional performance. Your work will involve designing, implementing, and refining large-scale distributed machine learning systems and contributing the scientific foundation behind innovative algorithms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-performance deep learning algorithm implementations.
- Engage in work on extensive distributed computing systems to scale solutions effectively.
- Advise on machine learning best practices, shaping engineering culture within the team.
- Understand and optimize the integration between machine learning systems and their surrounding infrastructure.
- Assess various ML models and system trade-offs to ensure optimal deployment strategies.
- Execute data and feature engineering along with the training, evaluation, and deployment of ML models.
Qualifications
- Practical experience running small-scale machine learning experiments.
- Passion for system analysis and innovation aimed at enhancing speed, reducing complexity, and minimizing maintenance efforts.
- Strong proficiency in software engineering, especially Python programming.
- Ability to collaborate closely with researchers to support development of the next generation of machine learning models.
