Job Overview

The firm is looking for an accomplished Senior Project Manager to oversee and coordinate medium-scale projects of moderate complexity, managing the entire project lifecycle from initial business case development through execution, commissioning, handover, and closure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
• Drive the strategic planning, execution, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Contribute to the formulation of business cases and establish clear project objectives.
• Create comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and delivery strategies.
• Continuously monitor project progress and apply corrective measures when necessary.
• Ensure deliverables fulfill quality, safety, and operational standards.
• Manage resources including staff, contractors, materials, and equipment effectively.
• Identify, evaluate, and address risks and issues throughout the project duration.
• Formulate contingency strategies to guarantee successful project outcomes.
• Serve as the central liaison point for all project stakeholders and maintain consistent communications.
• Provide frequent updates to stakeholders and align expectations.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams and encourage cooperation among all participants.
• Lead and inspire project teams to meet objectives successfully.
• Support seamless operations within live environments by planning continuity measures.
• Oversee coordination of phasing, access protocols, permit requirements, and stakeholder interactions.
• Manage commissioning processes, operational readiness assessments (ORAT), handover documentation, training, defect tracking, and project close-out procedures.
• Assist with procurement activities and tender management.
• Handle RFIs, technical submissions, variations, and interactions with contractors.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and project standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possesses a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent credential.
• Holds a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
• Has accumulated 5 to 10 years in project management with proven success handling projects and work packages up to USD 50 million or equivalent.
• Experience includes 1 to 2 complete project lifecycles from initiation to closure.
• 4 to 7 years of relevant background in airport, live operational, or major infrastructure projects.
• Preferably has experience working in the Middle East region.
• Skilled in managing diverse, multicultural teams, contractors, consultants, and various stakeholders.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, planning, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient with project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, and BIM platforms.
• Thorough understanding of project controls including scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, reporting, commissioning, handover, and operational readiness.
• Capable of handling several priorities simultaneously in a demanding environment, while maintaining high standards and stakeholder satisfaction.
