This role offers a chance to contribute to one of Saudi Arabia's largest programs, comprising a major mixed-use development featuring sports venues, entertainment, arts, and essential infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and development for the design team by setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and nurturing a high-achieving culture in line with organizational values and safety protocols.
  • Manage design progress reports, perform analytics, and handle risk management by identifying issues early and deploying mitigation strategies alongside value engineering opportunities.
  • Lead technical design reviews ensuring adherence to project requirements, design briefs, systems engineering, BIM, GIS, innovation, and applicable standards.
  • Oversee the design workflow from concept to construction documentation, coordinating with consultants to maintain alignment with project goals and methodologies.
  • Guarantee that all designs are purpose-fit, following Safety in Design principles, quality processes, regulatory standards, and obtaining necessary design approvals.
  • Direct interface coordination between internal and external stakeholders to minimize impacts on schedules, budgets, quality, and project delivery outcomes.
  • Ensure design evolution complies with approved cost plans, business aims, operational needs, and change management processes, including evaluating design alterations.
  • Supervise development of design and engineering Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to support procurement, construction sequencing, project phasing, and overall project success.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Between 12 and 15+ years of experience managing multi-disciplinary design on large-scale complex projects.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a senior technical lead handling multiple consultants and diverse infrastructure packages.
  • Strong background in design governance, quality assurance, and managing complex interfaces.
