Role Overview
This opportunity is for an experienced Security Researcher working remotely, focusing on identifying and analyzing software vulnerabilities in critical systems. The role is full-time and involves conducting in-depth security research and developing mitigation strategies to protect valuable assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced research to discover vulnerabilities across codebases, APIs, and infrastructure.
- Create proof-of-concept exploits to validate vulnerabilities and determine their potential impact.
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams to design and deploy security patches and mitigations.
- Remain updated on the latest threats, attack vectors, and trends in the cybersecurity domain.
- Document findings thoroughly in detailed technical reports and communicate recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Fluency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Go for analyzing vulnerabilities.
- Experience with reverse engineering tools including IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Binary Ninja.
- Deep understanding of common vulnerabilities like buffer overflows, race conditions, and logic flaws.
- Hands-on familiarity with fuzz testing frameworks such as AFL, LibFuzzer, or Honggfuzz.
- Knowledge of operating system internals (Linux and Windows) along with memory corruption attack techniques.
- Capability to evaluate network protocols and identify communication system weaknesses.
- Proficiency with static and dynamic analysis tools such as Coverity, Fortify, or Valgrind.
- Strong technical communication skills to produce clear documentation and reports.
