Job description
Overview
We are seeking a meticulous Quotation Specialist to manage customer pricing requests and quotation activities. This role involves generating precise proposals, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams, and advancing sales opportunities by delivering dependable data and responsive service. The ideal candidate will have sharp analytical skills, be well-organized, and have experience interfacing with supply chain, sales, and customer support departments.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed and timely customer quotations, ensuring all submissions are complete and accurate.
- Evaluate incoming quote requests to identify any missing information and communicate with customers to fill those gaps.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal technical teams to acquire pricing for specialized or nonstandard items and services.
- Maintain up-to-date pricing information for products and services that supports accurate commercial information sharing with customers and partners.
- Collaborate with sales teams to evaluate sales opportunities, support follow-up efforts, and help progress promising prospects effectively.
- Input and monitor sales opportunity data in Salesforce.com, track progress through the sales cycle, and assist in updating monthly and yearly sales forecasts using pipeline analysis.
- Prepare comprehensive order-entry documentation and verify information before passing it on to service administration teams.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and build strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Support onboarding for new customers and perform administrative duties such as maintaining data, reporting, and coordinating related tasks.
- Contribute to improving quotation processes by suggesting enhancements to workflows, promoting consistency, and increasing overall efficiency; participate in relevant departmental meetings.
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in quotation support, sales operations, supply chain coordination, or a similar function.
- Familiarity with supply chain logistics, management, and operational processes that influence pricing and order fulfillment.
- Proficiency using CRM systems such as Salesforce.com for opportunity management, record updates, and reporting.
- Ability to interpret pricing data, sales pipelines, and forecasting information for planning purposes.
- Strong organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and manage daily responsibilities independently.
- Effective written and oral communication skills for engaging customers, suppliers, sales, and internal operational personnel.
- High attention to detail ensuring accuracy in documentation while following company policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of forecasting, production planning, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-moving environment.
