Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of core services for logistics and order management.
• Establish and direct architecture strategies for API-first, distributed microservice systems.
• Develop functionalities related to fulfilment, shipping labels, and live tracking.
• Ensure engineering best practices are followed, emphasizing clean code, rigorous testing, and system reliability.
• Scale infrastructure and create tools to support the company's rapid international expansion.
• Collaborate closely with product teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful features.
• Remain hands-on by writing production-quality Scala code.

Required Qualifications

• Over 7 years of experience developing large-scale, customer-facing applications.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Proficient cloud expertise, preferably with AWS.
• Experience operating in environments demanding high throughput and reliability.
• Strong skills in system design, focusing on performance and scalability.
• Ability to lead technically while actively contributing to development.

Preferred Experience

• Background in eCommerce, fintech, or logistics platforms.
• Familiarity with functional programming paradigms.
• Experience integrating with third-party systems such as carriers, payment gateways, and APIs.
• Expertise in database optimization techniques.
