Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of core services for logistics and order management.
- Establish and direct architecture strategies for API-first, distributed microservice systems.
- Develop functionalities related to fulfilment, shipping labels, and live tracking.
- Ensure engineering best practices are followed, emphasizing clean code, rigorous testing, and system reliability.
- Scale infrastructure and create tools to support the company's rapid international expansion.
- Collaborate closely with product teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful features.
- Remain hands-on by writing production-quality Scala code.
Required Qualifications
- Over 7 years of experience developing large-scale, customer-facing applications.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Proficient cloud expertise, preferably with AWS.
- Experience operating in environments demanding high throughput and reliability.
- Strong skills in system design, focusing on performance and scalability.
- Ability to lead technically while actively contributing to development.
Preferred Experience
- Background in eCommerce, fintech, or logistics platforms.
- Familiarity with functional programming paradigms.
- Experience integrating with third-party systems such as carriers, payment gateways, and APIs.
- Expertise in database optimization techniques.
