Role Overview

Join Specsavers in Treorchy as an Optometrist, where you will be the primary provider for eye examinations and contact lens services, playing a crucial role in helping customers maintain optimal vision health.

Wales General Ophthalmic Services (WGOS)

As of October 2023, updated regulations under WGOS enable optometrists registered in Wales to fully apply their advanced clinical qualifications in primary eye care. Those not yet WGOS registered can obtain mandatory training and registration details by contacting Health Education and Improvement Wales and the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership via provided email addresses.

Compensation and Work Schedule

  • Salary up to £70,000, commensurate with clinical qualifications.
  • Bonus scheme available.
  • Full-time hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Saturday, totaling 37.5 hours across 5 days.
