About the Role
Life Lover is looking for a skilled and driven Odoo Developer / Technical Consultant to join our technology team. This key position involves developing, customizing, integrating, and continuously improving our Odoo ERP system to support and advance our digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of Odoo ERP solutions aligned with business goals.
- Create and maintain custom Odoo modules, workflows, user interfaces, reports, and business logic.
- Translate business and operational requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
- Develop and support APIs and integrations between Odoo and third-party systems.
- Integrate Odoo with POS, e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, ZATCA compliance systems, marketplaces including Amazon, Noon, Trendyol, Golden Scent, and others.
- Automate and improve business processes across multiple Odoo apps: Sales, CRM, Purchase, Inventory, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Accounting, POS, E-commerce, Website, HR, Projects, Helpdesk, Maintenance, Quality, and more.
- Optimize warehouse and operational workflows such as picking, packing, shipping, and inventory movements.
- Implement and maintain ZATCA e-invoicing compliance covering phase 1 and 2, including XML/UBL structure, QR codes, cryptographic standards, API integration, clearance, validation, and issue resolution.
- Configure Saudi Arabia localization including bilingual settings, VAT, and ZATCA requirements.
- Develop custom reports, dashboards, and analytics ensuring precise and relevant data presentation.
- Manage PostgreSQL databases, including performance tuning, query optimization, data integrity, and troubleshooting.
- Customize the Odoo frontend with XML, JavaScript, QWeb, OWL, and Odoo Web Framework.
- Perform technical analysis, diagnose complex issues, identify root causes, and provide robust solutions.
- Optimize code and database performance through review, debugging, refactoring, and tuning.
- Handle data migration, software upgrades, version compatibility, and routine system maintenance.
- Oversee module deployment processes including testing, staging, production releases, and ongoing support.
- Follow best practices for security, scalability, maintainability, and code quality in all development efforts.
- Configure and maintain Odoo security aspects like ACLs, record rules, user groups, and role-based access control.
- Document system architecture, customizations, integrations, configurations, and procedures comprehensively.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and teams to identify process automation and digital improvement opportunities.
- Help advance the company's ERP architecture and digital infrastructure continually.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in Odoo development within ERP or enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in customizing Odoo modules, integrations, and API development.
- Strong programming skills in Python and the Odoo framework (ORM).
- Proficient in PostgreSQL, SQL, relational databases, and maintaining data integrity.
- Experience with XML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, QWeb, and OWL for frontend development.
- Deep understanding of Odoo architecture, ERP concepts, business processes, and system integrations.
- Hands-on experience with REST API and web services integrations.
- Proven track record integrating Odoo with POS, e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, marketplaces, and other systems.
- Strong background implementing ZATCA e-invoicing compliance, including Phase 2 Fatoora regulations.
- Solid knowledge of Saudi Arabia VAT and e-invoicing legal requirements.
- Experience working with Odoo versions 18 and 19.
- Familiarity with Git version control systems.
- Preferred experience with Odoo.sh, Linux, Docker, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and deployment environments.
- Experience in multi-company, multi-branch, or multi-warehouse ERP setups is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to manage the full software development lifecycle independently from analysis to production support.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly growing corporate environment.
- Fluency in English communication.
