Position Overview
As an Infrastructure Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the technology stack that supports Coram AI’s IoT product portfolio, spanning edge and cloud infrastructure. This involves not only traditional cloud components like AWS and Kubernetes but also remote management of a substantial fleet of IoT devices deployed in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain high-quality, production-ready software for the custom edge infrastructure.
- Manage and provision cloud resources within AWS.
- Implement device provisioning and management systems for hundreds of thousands of connected IoT devices.
- Design and maintain continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines along with automation for various infrastructure elements.
- Create and uphold comprehensive observability and telemetry systems for both cloud applications and edge devices.
- Support compliance with stringent security frameworks, including SOC2 and HIPAA.
- Enhance developer efficiency by optimizing development workflows.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years experience in developing infrastructure software on AWS, utilizing infrastructure as code tools like Pulumi or Terraform.
- Proficient with containerization and orchestration technologies, especially Docker and Kubernetes (notably Amazon EKS).
- At least 3 years programming experience in Python, Go, or comparable modern languages.
- Skilled in constructing CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure processes.
- Experience with self-hosting observability platforms such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Knowledge in edge/IoT infrastructure technologies including Yocto, device provisioning, and over-the-air update mechanisms.
- Familiarity with managing remote on-premises or hybrid/multi-cloud infrastructures.
- Understanding of maintaining SOC 2 compliance standards.
- Experience building scalable, high-throughput data processing pipelines.
- Adaptable and resilient within dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, capable of influencing diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in onsite work settings.
