Role Overview
We are seeking dedicated Housekeeping Assistants for our nursing home in Dungarvan, County Waterford. These positions are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, providing flexible and rotational shifts to meet the nursing home's operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough daily cleaning of residents' rooms and common areas within the nursing facility.
- Safely and properly handle, use, and store cleaning equipment and cleaning agents.
- Manage domestic waste collection and disposal according to proper protocols.
- Promptly clean any spillages and use appropriate warning signs to ensure safety.
- Adhere to safe working practices to maintain a secure environment at all times.
- Adapt to shift rotations and flexible scheduling based on nursing home requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in similar settings is preferred but not required.
- A genuine passion for elder care and maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents.
- Capability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Professionalism coupled with empathy and a caring attitude.
- Comfortable operating in occasionally challenging workplace conditions.
- Good command of the English language.
- Willingness to work varied shifts across all days of the week.
