Job description

Position Overview

Learn X Design is looking for a motivated and technically proficient Cloud Engineer to become a part of our expanding technology and infrastructure team. This role suits individuals passionate about cloud technology, automation, system reliability, and crafting secure, scalable cloud infrastructures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain various cloud infrastructure components and services.
  • Provide support for cloud ecosystems on platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or alike.
  • Continuously monitor cloud systems including applications, networks, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Set up and manage virtual machines, storage solutions, databases, networking components, and cloud services.
  • Implement security measures including access control and follow cloud infrastructure best practices.
  • Automate the provisioning and deployment of infrastructure as well as day-to-day operations.
  • Create and sustain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalents.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and cloud-based application deployments.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems related to cloud infrastructure, networking, performance, and availability.
  • Implement solutions for monitoring, logging, alerting, backups, and disaster recovery.
  • Optimize cloud resources focusing on enhancing performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with Software Developers, DevOps, Network Engineers, Security teams, and system administrators.
  • Assist in cloud migration, modernization initiatives, and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation including architecture diagrams and operational protocols.
  • Research latest cloud technologies and advise on infrastructure improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Preferred diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cloud Computing, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, DevOps, systems administration, or networking is beneficial.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant cloud-related projects, internships, or certifications are welcome to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, and load balancing.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows server operating environments.
  • Basic understanding of containerization tools like Docker.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code solutions such as Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.
  • Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and use of tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Basic scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of cloud security practices, IAM, system monitoring, logging, and backup procedures.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in handling technical documentation.
  • Effective communication skills, including English proficiency, and ability to work well within teams.
  • Certifications such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or CompTIA are advantageous.
