Role Overview
This position is for an embedded test engineer focused on automotive-related software quality work at a client site in Bengaluru. The role calls for solid hands-on experience in testing embedded systems, automation with Python and Robot Framework, and collaboration with distributed teams.
Location
Client location, Bangalore.
Experience Required
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, along with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn quickly.
- Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Practical experience in mobile application testing.
- Familiarity with JIRA or comparable defect tracking systems.
- ISTQB Advanced Level certification.
Essential Skills
- Background working with embedded systems or technical products.
- Exposure to global or international project environments.
- Strong Python programming capability.
- Hands-on experience with Robot Framework.
- Working knowledge of Selenium for automation testing.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to HVAC technologies, particularly heat pump systems.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Understanding of Agile delivery methods.
- Knowledge of the software development and software testing lifecycle.
- Exposure to continuous integration and test automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed test plans, test specifications, and test cases.
- Carry out both manual and automated testing for embedded software products.
- Investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis, and suggest corrective measures.
- Work with cross-functional and international teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Analyze requirements and refine them from user-level needs to product-specific details.
- Find ways to improve testing efficiency and increase automation coverage.
- Maintain product quality across the SDLC and STLC phases.
