About The Role
In the fintech sector, priorities like authorization logic, idempotency, and handling race conditions are more critical than traditional vulnerability scans. You'll collaborate closely with payments engineering teams to ensure security rather than simply overseeing their work from a distance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and review payment and authorization workflows to ensure security standards.
- Enhance secure default settings within shared software libraries used by the team.
- Assist in security incident response activities when required.
Requirements
- Between one and three years of practical experience in application security or backend software development.
- Solid understanding of race conditions and idempotency concepts in software systems.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance.
- Experience programming with Node.js or Go languages.
