Role Summary

The Associate in Photo Operations plays a crucial role within the Photo Operations team. This position supports regional image needs focused on publicity, marketing, broadcasting, and digital platforms including discovery+. The core responsibility involves sourcing, processing, and managing large volumes of images to meet direct-to-consumer (DTC) and video on demand (VOD) requirements efficiently and on deadline.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire and caption images tailored for non-linear platforms, comprising 20% of the role.
• Perform image retouching and create series-level composites utilizing Photoshop, approximately 10% of tasks.
• Upload and organize images into internal distribution databases, accounting for 20% of duties.
• Collaborate closely with VOD Operations and Scheduling teams to guarantee timely image deliveries.
• Manage and update the team's workflow and image delivery timelines, contributing to 20% of effort.
• Ensure meticulous cataloging and maintenance of the team's image storage system, responsible for 10% of workload.
• Provide assistance responding to image-related requests from internal and external VOD stakeholders, making up 10% of activities.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

• A college or university graduate with some relevant experience, including internships or similar roles.
• Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities, paired with a proactive, positive attitude.
• Competence using specialized database systems for image management.
• Hands-on experience with Adobe Photoshop and Mac OS applications.
• Familiarity with graphic design is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
