Role Overview
Join a dynamic team as a Mainframe Developer where you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe applications primarily using COBOL. You will work closely with diverse teams to gather and implement business requirements, ensuring quality and efficiency in all development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL programming language.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve issues pertaining to VSAM datasets and DB2 databases.
- Perform thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to established coding standards and best practices.
- Engage actively in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, to support iterative development cycles.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 4 to 7 years of experience in mainframe development, demonstrating strong expertise in COBOL.
- Solid knowledge of SQL query writing aimed at DB2 database interactions.
