Role Overview
Join the Infrastructure product division developing instrumentation agents, advanced data processing services, vulnerability management, and security testing features for both on-premises and cloud environments. Our technology stack includes Go, Java, JavaScript, React, GraphQL, Kubernetes, and multiple cloud services.
As a senior backend engineer, you will architect, develop, and expand next-generation solutions like a control plane for large-scale data pipeline management, contributing to a pioneering observability platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and scale backend services along with their supporting tools.
- Engage in innovative architectural design and decision-making.
- Create automation and tools to enhance system scalability and simplify deployments.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to assist customers and partners directly.
- Investigate new technologies and services to address sophisticated use cases and propose enhancements.
- Operate within an agile, DevOps-driven environment with shared responsibilities including on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Over 9 years of practical experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and production-grade systems.
- Strong command of Go (Golang) as the main programming language.
- Basic proficiency in frontend development using React.
- In-depth knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proven ability to deliver production-ready code within Agile frameworks.
- Collaborative approach promoting shared code ownership and inclusive decision-making.
- Capability to design and implement complex distributed solutions for real-world challenges.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with Temporal workflow orchestration.
- Administrative experience with GitHub organizations, including team and access management.
- Development of CLI tools using Golang.
- Understanding of Domain Specific Languages (DSLs).
- Contributions to open-source software projects.
- Enthusiasm for build and test automation including CI/CD pipeline and test framework creation.
- Mentorship and team skill development capabilities.
- Experience with asynchronous programming paradigms such as streams, event-driven architectures, and reactive flows.
