Role Overview

This position is for a Java Technical Lead specializing in private banking modules and functioning as a senior developer for Asia Satellite applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Java-based applications in domains like Client Pricing and Portfolio Access Management within private banking.
• Own applications including their technical upgrades, addressing critical production issues, and implementing technical enhancements.
• Manage and mentor a team of developers, act as a liaison with software vendors.
• Be passionate about technology by creating robust, scalable interfaces and overseeing local developments.
• Participate hands-on in the analysis, design, coding, and deployment of complex custom solutions.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment, especially in a SAFe Agile framework.
• Lead technical and architectural design reviews, uphold architectural standards, and challenge existing approaches.
• Engage closely with program stakeholders, business change engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth IT delivery; serve as main contact for product owners and business users.

Regulatory and Risk Management

• Ensure identification and active management of risks and issues to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.

Candidate Profile

Professional Qualifications:

• At least 15 years of experience developing front-end applications, programming, and backend queries.
• Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks and lead projects to achieve key milestones overcoming obstacles.
• Minimum of 3 years experience leading teams.
• Capable of translating functional requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Preferably experience in finance, banking, or wealth management sectors.
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Understand and translate business/system requirements into scalable and stable technical solutions.
• Maintain adherence to bank standards including code quality, security, and performance.
• Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum and Extreme Programming.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Java, JBoss, Spring Boot, and Hibernate frameworks.
• Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture and RESTful services.
• Solid computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, Kafka streaming, Avro schema, and React.js.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of GitLab, Maven, Octopus, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud environments is advantageous.
• Basic competency with Linux shell scripting.
• Experience using IntelliJ IDEA and SonarQube/SonarLint tools.
