Job description

Job Overview

Wood is seeking a Document Controller for the ADNOC Offshore US Gas Cap Phase 1 project. This position involves overseeing all project documentation within the oil and gas sector, guaranteeing alignment with company and client standards and facilitating communication between contractors and stakeholders.

Key Duties

  • Administer and upkeep the project document control system adhering to company policies and client specifications.
  • Manage document registration, distribution, tracking, and retrieval processes efficiently.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure prompt submission and receipt of all documents.
  • Prepare transmittals, maintain comprehensive logs, and produce reports detailing the status of documentation.
  • Ensure complete traceability and secure storage of sensitive and confidential records.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior document controllers on established procedures.
  • Facilitate audits and uphold compliance with QA/QC standards and project mandates.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess substantial experience in document control specifically in the oil and gas industry.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in electronic document management systems.
  • Have solid understanding of ISO standards and requirements from major clients.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
  • Have at least 5 years of practical experience working with Electronic Documentation Management Systems in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
