Data Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our team full-time in a remote capacity. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure essential for supporting business intelligence and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading of extensive datasets.
• Build and maintain data warehouses and data lakes to facilitate both analytical and operational reporting needs.
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure data is accessible and reliable.
• Monitor the performance of data pipelines, identify and resolve issues to maintain system reliability and efficiency.
• Produce clear documentation covering data architecture, workflows, and standards for team reference and compliance purposes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong command of SQL and experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Apache Airflow, Spark, or equivalent frameworks.
• Understanding of data modeling techniques and design principles associated with data warehouses.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability and efficient performance.
