Job Overview
As a Utility Locate Technician based in Burnsville, Minnesota, you will operate independently using a company-assigned vehicle to perform daily locate requests. Your responsibilities include safely and precisely marking underground utilities with paint, flags, and whiskers, ensuring excavation areas are properly identified to prevent damage. You'll utilize advanced tools like the LaunchPoint software system for task management and must be prepared to work overtime or on-call, including potential nights and weekends.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage ranging from $25.00 to $31.00, dependent on experience
- Company vehicle, fuel card, and cell phone provided for daily use, enabling direct travel to job sites from home

Role Responsibilities
- Conduct daily utility locate routes using provided company vehicle and equipment
- Accurately mark underground utilities employing paint, flags, and whiskers
- Manage daily work tasks through mobile work system
- Participate in on-call rotations, overtime, including nights and weekends as required
Candidate Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment screenings, including drug test, Motor Vehicle Record check, and background investigation
- Compliance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations as this is a safety-sensitive DOT role; marijuana use (medical or recreational) is strictly prohibited
- Minimum age of 18 years with a High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license essential
