Role Overview
This position seeks a seasoned Systems Architect specializing in Data Architecture and Enterprise Data Management. The role demands comprehensive expertise in data engineering within sectors like banking or financial services, particularly in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Qatar regions.
Core Qualifications and Expertise
- At least 7 to 10 years of experience in data architecture, enterprise data management, or related fields, ideally within banking or financial service domains.
- In-depth understanding of enterprise data architecture principles, encompassing data modeling, integration, and governance frameworks.
- Proficient with contemporary data platforms including data warehouses, lakehouses, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics ecosystems.
- Knowledgeable about AI/ML data environments, AI data requirements, and principles supporting Responsible AI.
- Experience in assessing architecture designs across different environments like on-premise, cloud, and hybrid setups.
- Familiarity with data governance disciplines covering data quality, metadata management, and compliance with regulatory data management standards.
- Strong analytical abilities, architectural insight, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Preferred banking experience within GCC and Qatar markets.
- Valued certifications include TOGAF, DAMA, CDMP, and cloud architecture credentials.

- Depth and relevance of experience in data architecture, enterprise data management, and engineering.
- Capabilities in designing and managing enterprise-scale data platforms and infrastructure.
- Expertise in governance areas such as data quality, metadata, data lineage, and architectural oversight.
- Exposure to AI/ML communities and frameworks, including Responsible AI governance.
- Industry domain knowledge of banking or financial services, with preference for GCC/Qatar exposure.
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly across multidisciplinary teams spanning business, technology, risk, compliance, and governance sectors.
