Technology Stack & Environment
The company is actively evolving by migrating core products into Kubernetes on Azure and refactoring a monolithic application into an event-driven microservices architecture. Current technologies in use include:
- Java 25+ (with regular updates)
- Spring Boot 4
- JPA with Azure SQL (or other SQL databases)
- Redis
- Azure cloud services including Azure Service Bus and Application Insights
- Kubernetes
- Frontend skills in React + Typescript, Shadcn (considered a plus)
General technical knowledge expected includes distributed systems and messaging system architectures.
Role Description
The Software Engineer will join the team working on the company's distribution platform, which connects hotel availability and pricing to online travel agencies and booking channels. Responsibilities involve developing new features, ensuring the platform remains stable and performant under high load, and assisting with refactoring and migrating legacy systems while upholding rigorous security and performance standards.
Candidate Profile
- Customer-centric mindset focused on delivering exceptional experiences for customers, guests, and users.
- Experienced software developer with strong emphasis on software quality using Unit Testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
- Advocate for code quality with in-depth knowledge of SOLID principles and craftsmanship standards.
- Independent and self-driven, able to manage projects end-to-end while seeking collaboration and feedback.
- Proactive in leading change and implementing innovative practices through learning and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with scalable microservices architecture and expertise in refactoring monolithic systems to improve maintainability and extensibility.
