Shift Leader

The Shift Leader role involves overseeing shifts and operational areas within the restaurant to ensure delivery of high-quality products and excellent customer service, directly contributing to profitability. This role includes supervising daily operations, implementing company policies and programs, and ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow established guidelines for each station including dough management, portion control, and accurate preparation to maintain product quality and holding times.
• Work diligently to meet the company’s product goals while minimizing customer complaints and addressing customer needs promptly.
• Uphold company policies relating to staff appearance, attendance, safety, and security as outlined in the team member handbook.
• Promote a positive work environment by demonstrating core values, maintaining flexibility, and cooperating effectively with colleagues.
• Manage shift coverage, provide immediate feedback to resolve issues, ensure quality and service standards, and meet performance metrics such as food/labor cost targets and restaurant cleanliness.
• Support profitability goals through use of the FOCUS system for cash handling and inventory management to reduce losses.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food safety certification such as Serv-Safe or local/state equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience as a restaurant shift leader is desirable.
• Consistent and stable work history.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to work 32+ hours per week, including nights, weekends, and emergency situations.
• Capability to perform duties across all restaurant positions.
