Role Overview

This opportunity is for a Python Developer working as an independent contractor on a part-time basis. The position is fully remote and offers hourly compensation between $30 and $130, depending on experience and fit.

The expected commitment is 10 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Build, test, and support dependable backend services using Python and Django.
Create and improve PostgreSQL schemas and queries to keep performance strong and data handling reliable.
Use AWS tools to deploy applications, support scaling, and monitor system health.
Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions that support business goals.
Produce code that is clean, efficient, and well documented, with attention to established development standards.
Identify, troubleshoot, and fix complicated issues across different layers of the application.

Required Experience and Skills

Advanced proficiency in Python and the Django framework.
Practical experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query tuning.
Strong working knowledge of AWS services used for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical conversations.
Ability to operate independently and solve problems proactively in a distributed team environment.
